The winners of the VII "SevilFest" were announced

On 11 July, the closing ceremony of the 7th Sevil International Women's Documentary Film Festival took place at Landmark. Over the course of nine days, the festival brought together audiences in Baku, Sheki, and Lankaran through film screenings, masterclasses, discussions, and special events.

The festival's final day began with the second screenings of the films in the International AniDoc Competition. This was followed by a screening of Amazing Mother by Émilie Brisavoine. After the screening, film scholar Öykü Sofuoğlu led an in-depth discussion and analysis of the film. Audiences actively participated in the conversation, asking questions and sharing their thoughts. The screening was presented with the support of the Embassy of France in Azerbaijan.

The closing ceremony celebrated the most memorable moments of this year's festival before announcing the winners of the competition programmes.

Guests were welcomed by a live performance from Dakini and a Pop-up Store featuring local women-led brands. During the official ceremony, a recap of the festival's programme across all three host cities was presented, followed by a video highlighting the unforgettable moments of the 7th edition. The evening then continued with the awards ceremony.

On behalf of the jury, Samira Kidman, Bahar Şirin Demirel, and SevilFest founder and festival director Aygün Rashidova praised the outstanding quality of this year's competition programme before announcing the winners.

The 7th Sevil International Women's Documentary Film Festival once again brought together documentaries, emerging filmmakers, and diverse voices from around the world, creating a space for dialogue through powerful stories, unique perspectives, and pressing social issues.

Congratulations to all of this year's winners. We would also like to thank our filmmakers, guests, partners, volunteers, and audiences for making the 7th SevilFest possible.
