Katya Drinqenberq
2026
Katja Dringenberg is an editor, dramaturg, and director with more than 30 years of experience in the German film industry. Katya was the editor of Tom Tykwer’s early films and a long-time collaborator of Milo Rau and Andres Veiel. She is a two-time recipient of the German Camera Award for Deadly Maria and Black Box BRD. In 2019, she was invited to join the Documentary Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Her filmography includes Beltracchi: The Art of Forgery, From Caligari to Hitler, The New Gospel, Girl Gang, The Congo Tribunal, and many other documentary and fiction films. This year at SevilFest, Katya will serve as a mentor in the DokAtelye: Editing workshop. She will also lead a masterclass, where she will share her experience and insights on the role of editing in documentary filmmaking, dramaturgy, and ethical decision-making.
Samirə Kidman
2026
Samira Kidman is a film editor working between Baku and Mumbai. She studied film editing at the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and also participated in an exchange program at FAMU in Prague. Currently, she provides consultations and mentors emerging film professionals and filmmakers. This year at SevilFest, Samira will serve as a mentor in the DokAtelye: Editing workshop.
